《周易》诠释若干问题思考

Reflections on the interpretation of The Book of Changes

将《周易》置于何种语境之中加以诠释;《周易》究竟是占筮书还是以类比为特点的思维工具书,直接关系到吉、凶断语是"贞占"之辞还是价值判断的诠释。必须屏除象数派与义理派的门户之见,只有象数与义理的结合诠释,才能准确把握和完整体现《周易》思想。《易传》在《周易》诠释中具有重要参考作用,但也应注意《易传》在某些方面的失误。能否运用西方文化包括西方哲学尤其西方符号学等理论诠释《周易》,《周易》现代诠释的一个重要目的是要将其类比思维方式从形式方面加以发掘整理,为建立一个具有中国传统思维特点的类比逻辑理论体系提供最直接的帮助。

This paper discusses those issues on the interpretation of The Book of Changes as the following. Firstly, what context we should place it in to interpret. Whether it is a book of divination or methodology with the characteristics of analogy concerns directly with the issue whether the 'good' or 'ill' are terms for 'divination' or evaluation. Secondly, the sectarian quarrel between the School of Images and Symbols and the School of Meaning should be rejected. The ideas of this book could be correctly grasped and fully exposed only by combining the views of both schools. Thirdly, the Commentary for Book of Changes is an important reference for interpreting the Book of Changes, but some errors in it should be noted so as not to take it as the ground for further interpretation. Fourthly, whether we could interpret it in the light of the western culture and philosophy especially semiotics. One of the important goals of modern interpretation of it is to discover and abstract its analogical method in its form to help set up the analogical system with the characteristics of the Chinese traditional thinking.
