1834年,普希金完成并出版了他的第一部历史著作——《普加乔夫史》,向世人介绍了俄国历史上规模最大的农民起义及其领袖的真实情况。该书为俄国后来的历史学家研究普加乔夫起义奠定了基础。普希金也因此被苏联科学院认为是苏联最优秀的历史学家之一。

Pukhagiauv,Pushkin's first historical work that came out in 1834,is the first of its kind to make known the inside stories of the most devastating peasant revolt in the Russian history and has been ever since the foundation for later-generation studies on the event. Pushkin himself was considered by the Soviet Academy of Sciences as one of the greatest historians of the nation.
