大学生性格因素和英语口语能力的相关性研究

The study on the correlations between personality and oral English proficiency

本研究以118名本科生和研究生为样本，采用卡特尔的16PF性格因素问卷搜集了其各个性格因素的得分，同时采用英国剑桥大学与上海交通大学联合举办的英语口语考试成绩。通过分析表明，除了个别因素以外，大学生的性格因素和英语口语能力之间没有显著的相关性。论文最后根据研究结果对大学英语口语教学提出了一些建议。

By use of the revised Chinese version of R. B. Cattell's 16PF Questionnaire and the SJTU-Cambridge Oral English Assessment, this paper studies the data collected about the personality factors and oral English proficiency indicators of 118 undergraduates and graduates. Different from those of the previous studies, the results of this study show that the correlation between personality and oral English proficiency is weak, except for the few factors correlated with relative significance. At the end of this paper, some suggestions are made for the oral English learning and teaching.
