A Study of Contemporary Chinese American Literature from Cultural Perspective

美国华裔文学的创作反映了中美两国文化相互碰撞、吸收和交融的历史 ,折射出漂泊在异国他乡的华人移民及其后代对中美文化所持有的截然不同的态度和两代人围绕着文化认同、民族身份的得与失所表现出来的矛盾与冲突。透过华裔文学 ,我们还可以看出变化的文化语境对改革开放之后赴美的新移民对“文革”题材创作与作品的接受所产生的影响 ,追寻历代在美华人为维护和弘扬中国文化而进行斗争的历程。

The writing of Chinese American literature mirrors the history of the conflicts,assimilation and amalgamation of Chiness and American cultures.It also reflects the different attitudes of Chinese immigrants and their descendents towards the two cultures.From the literary creation,we can see the confrontations and conflicts between the two generations around the gain and loss of the ethnic and cultural identities,the impact of the changing cultural context upon the writing of the new immigrants and the experience of Chinese Americans to protect and spread Chinese culture.
