People apply idioms with their colorfulimages to make their languagemore vivid and lively, but the transferenceof the culturally loaded images is one of the difficulties in literary translation. The paper makes a comparison of the images of Chinese and English idioms, explores their similarities and differences, and also presents four ways of dealing with the images in translation.
