防范与处理索赔是监理工程师实施合同管理的核心工作

Preventing and handling claim for compensation is the key work of contract management.

从我国现行建设工程承包合同的有关法律制度及国际通行的FIDIC合同条件出发,结合笔者担任陕西省铜川市某道路工程总监理工程师的工作实践,论述了监理工程师实施合同管理的工作内容,提出防范与处理索赔是其核心工作,并列出了监理工程师防范与处理索赔的注意事项。

Based on the relevant laws concerning project construction contract and FIDIC contract conditions, and also the author's experiences in supervising an urban road engineering as chief engineer, the paper analyses the main tasks concerning contract management. It concludes that preventing and handling claim for compensation is the key work of contract management. It also lists some cautions in dealing with the issue at the end.
