A Comparison between Digital Library and Online Publishing

依据出版的概念,分析了网络出版与数字图书馆的表现形式和特征,认为数字图书馆和网络出版应当在不断延伸和拓展的网络资源概念及相应的知识产权保护法规下,走向内容和组织形式上的共存、互补与共荣。

Digital library has been suspected because of the copyright problems. The paper compared the different elements, types and characteristics between the digital library and online publishing by the concept of publishing. The paper holds that digital library and online publishing have different functions, readers, uses, economic benefits and values. But they also have some common ground of publishing. With development of the Internet resource and under the law of protection of the intellectual property rights, digital library and online publishing will coexist, be mutually beneficial and inspire each other both in the content and organization.
