采用二维增强的三维小波视频编码

Video Codec Using 3D Wavelet Transform with 2D Enhancement

提出了一种采用二维增强的三维小波视频编码方法 ,该方法将序列图像信号作为三维信号 ,把视频图像的帧内相关性和帧间相关性同时组织在一起构建小波系数。同时利用二维小波进一步刻画三维小波变换后低频子带内的信息特点 ,与单纯三维小波变换相比 ,本文提出的方法在相同码率时具有较高峰值信噪比 ,特别在高压缩比情况下重建图像具有更好的视觉效果。

Sequential image as a 3D signal is decomposed by 3D wavelets into a set of smaller orthonormal images and their coefficients are organized by the intra-frame and inter-frame correlations. Furthermore, the 3D low frequency subband information is decomposed again with 2D wavelets as a kind of enhancement. Compared with the pure 3D wavelets, the method can obtain higher PSNR and better visual effect at lower rate.
