A Study on the Measure of Economic Impact of the Exhibition Industry

目前我国展览业的统计没有纳入国民经济核算体系,展览业统计数据无法与国民经济的多种经济单位、经济行为对话和分析。因此,基于展览业的性质和特点,按照国民经济核算体系扩展账户理论,通过定义和补充相关概念,结合展览业统计调查提供的信息和数据,辅之以包括展览消费情况在内的专项调查,可综合计算出展览业增加值。这将为展览业与其他行业经济活动比较,及展览业经济效益的国际间、地区间比较提供可能,也有助于政府部门摸清展览业的经济效益,科学、合理地规划展览业的发展。

At present, the statistics of China’s exhibition industry are not included in the the System of National Accounts(SNA), the statistical data of the exhibition industry cannot be discussed and analyzed with the various economic units and economic behaviors of the national economy. Therefore, based on the nature and characteristics of the exhibition industry, according to SNA extended accounts theory, defining and supplementing relevant concepts, the added value of the exhibition industry can be calculated comprehensively by combining with the information and data of the exhibition industry surveys including special investigation into exhibition consumption. It can offer possibility for the comparison between the exhibition industry and the other industries’ economic behaviors,the international and inter-regional comparison of exhibition economic efficiency, and it would consequentially contribute to the government departments to find out the economic benefits of the exhibition industry, to scientifically and rationally plan the development of the exhibition industry.
