Promoting economic development is a common persistent theme around the world, while social security serves as a fundamental institutional guarantee for people's well-being for generations. In the era of globalization, it is imperative to rethink contemporary world and its economic development, to further clarify the relationship between social security and economic development, and to pursue action plans conducive to economic and social security development. China's successful experiences in this regard have suggested economic development and social security become closely intertwined. On the one hand, economic development provides social security with material basis; on the other hand, the development of social security provides economic development with enduring momentum.
