胡愈之在丰富的社会活动经历和众多作品中,体现出较为鲜明的外交思想。胡愈之倡导以科学研究方法来审视外交,并尝试系统地提出国民外交、革命外交、国防外交等一系列概念,倡导外交研究的辅助决策和预测功能,同时强调国际宣传在外交活动中的重要性。
HU Yuzhi's diplomatic thoughts are profound and comprehensive which is based on his rich experiences of social activities and other works. In terms of diplomatic research, Hu Yuzhi advocated more scientific methods and tried to put forward systematic concepts such as civil diplomacy, revolutionary diplomacy, and national defense diplomacy; meanwhile, Hu promoted the functions of decision-making-aid and predictability of diplomatic research. In addition, he emphasized the importance of international propaganda in diplomatic activities.
