Archaeological discovery in Dunhuang and Turfan has always been mysterious since the last century.I have recently received some photographies of six pieces of double-sided unidentified Buddhist manuscripts from an eminent archaeologist. The manuscripts were unearthed in Xinjiang decades ago.Six pieces of them has been marked with the numbers(K.lb to K.6 b),the other six sides of the manuscripts are non-numbered,and they are rather vague as well.In this paper, with reference to historical documents and archaeological discoveries from the related geographical sites, the origin and causes of six pieces of double-sided unearthed Buddhist manuscripts in Xinjiang will be investigated and identified. The translator of the sutra, the relationship between the translator monk from Khotan and Tang Court, the content of the sutra and the subtle meaning of the unearthed manuscripts will also be examined and discussed.
