Progress on self-testing of HIV among men who have sex with men

通过文献综述的方法,收集男男性行为人群(men who have sex with men,MSM)中HIV自我检测的使用现状,分析自我检测对于在MSM中扩大检测的优势,以及存在的不足。结果发现,部分国家MSM中HIV自我检测的比例已超过20%,由于操作简单、隐秘性强等特点,该检测手段可能会有利于在MSM扩大检测范围,发现更多感染者,但因为缺少检测前后的咨询以及正规的购买渠道,其检测结果的准确性可能受到影响,可能导致检测者错误使用和理解检测结果。所以在推广HIV自我检测前,应该规范试剂的销售渠道,并且制定包括检测前后咨询,阳性确诊和转介的自检模式,充分利用自检优势扩大检测覆盖面,从而发现更多传染源。

This paper collected information on the current status of self-testing of HIV among in MSM(men who have sex with men)group based on literature review and analyzed the advantages of the self-testing method in expanding MSM HIV detection and the existing shortcomings.The result showed that in most countries,the self-testing method was adopted by over 20%of the whole MSM group.Because of its easy operation and strong privacy,the self-testing method may be beneficial to enlarge the HIV testing range and to detect more HIV cases.However,due to the lack of consultation before and after testing as well as official purchasing channels,accuracy of the test result may be affected,leading to incorrect usage of the test or wrong interpretation of the result Therefore,before promoting the self-testing of HIV,it is necessary to regulate the distribution channels of the reagents and to formulate test modes,including the consultation before and after testing,positive diagnosis and referral.In this manner,the strengths of self-testing.
