This paper explores the issue of spatial operation from the perspective of section.Firstly,it reviews the history of architectural section,then summarizes the preset strategies as three conceptual methods:spatial solution on Euclidean geometry,dynamic operation of stack space,and organic construct of complex space.Through retracing historical narratives,section analysis and interpretations on canonical cases,the author attempts to demonstrate the inherent relationship between section and spatial operation.
