The cover photo of the Torgivannetto quarry(Mount Siubasio,2 km NE from the city of Assisi,Central Italy)was taken by Massimiliano Nocentini in July 2013.The research expedition,led by Prof.Dr.Nicola Casagli,focused on landslide carly warning and protection.The image shows the landslide in the former quarry during a man-induced rockfall simulation.In the frame,two researchers are measuring blocks and taking GPS measurements in order to prepare the simulation.
