马尔库塞的《单向度的人》选择一种不同于马克思从经济领域出发的视野,从思想层面阐述否定性思维向肯定性思维的转变过程,深刻地揭示了工业社会的现代化进程,并指出了其单向度性质。马尔库塞对当代社会所作的人本学立场的考察,使其寄希望于社会体制外的形而上学的复活受到学界的诟病,但他提出的破坏现有制度及其物质基础的观点,在一定意义上仍然延续了马克思的基本理路。

the One Dimensional Man written by Herbert Marcuse chose a different vision of economic field from the perspective of Marx. Instead of viewing from the ideological aspects of negative thinking,it takes a view of positive thinking,profoundly reveals the industrial society in the process of modernization,and points out its dimensional. Investigation of Marcuse made to the contemporary social humanism position,made his hope on metaphysics outside the social system suffered from academic criticism. However,damage to the existing system and material base of view he proposed,in a certain sense,is still the continuation of the basic thought of Marx.
