New media technologies have provided a new platform for the innovation and development of ideolog-ical and political education for youth. As they have many characteristics such as diversity,interactive,convenience and communication advantages,they have made up the blemish and shortages of the media of traditional ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Their universal application on campus has also provided a new way of innovation and development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. What's more, they have brought a new vision for the innovation and development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. So basing on the physical and mental development rule of contemporary college students,we should make full use of the advantages of these new media technologies,renew the channels,methods,principles and media and open up a new situation for ideological and political education in colleges and universities.
