Experience of Professor QIN Xiaolan in Treating Migraine Using Balance Acupuncture Combined with Chinese Medicinals

覃小兰教授擅长利用平衡针联合中药治疗偏头痛,在继承前人的基础上有自身的总结和创新;覃小兰教授根据偏头痛的发作分期论治,急性期以针刺止痛为主,舒缓期则针药并用,并重视药对使用、升清降浊法配伍、祛风药与引经药及虫类药的运用。

Professor QIN Xiaolan is good at using the balance acupuncture combined with Chinese medicinals to treat migraine. She inherited and summarized the experience of early doctors and further developed this treatment. Based on different stages of migraine occurrence,in the acute stage,she mainly uses acupuncture to relieve pain,and in the chronic stage,she combined acupuncture with Chinese medicinals.During the treatment,she emphasizes the application of herb pairs,combination of raising the clear and directing the turbid downward,and the application of wind-dispelling,channel-guiding and insect medicinals.
