As an old and lasting public authority, water boards are responsible for water management on both quantity and quality, essentially evading the drawbacks of non solutions by multiple authorities. The Dutch water board model is based on the guiding principle of 'Interest Pay Say'. Independent and effective regime on water management make Netherlands lead in the technologies not only in water conservancy but also in wastewater treatment and water ecosystem remediation in the world. This article introduces Dutch regime on water management and the function and tasks of water boards.
