Consistency of reciprocal matrices is one of the basic concepts in AHP (Analytic hierarchy process). The probabilities of the consistent matrices under the reciprocal matrices are calculated. The results show, the consistency of the reciprocal matrices whose ranks are greater than 5 is of overy tiny probability, even of almost zero probability.
