The author holds that the transfer of rural labor power to industrial enterprises and sideline production is an unavoidable trend in the development of the rural economy. The author believes that to solve the problem of the transfer of rural labor power in densely populated counties such as Nantong will be an arduous task. Responsible departments at different levels should analyze the problem, make financial calculations, work out immediate and long-term plans for this transfer and provide the basic conditions for its implementation.
