摘要
maintains that reform of the socialist eco- nomic system is a common phenomenon found in all socialist countries and is alsoa world-historical phenomenon.Neither Marx and Engels nor Lenin devised any social-ist model of politics, economics or any other system. The first socialist model wasset up in the Soviet Union under the leadership of Joseph Stalin,However,Sta,lin made the major mistake of taking the social economic system set up in one countryunder given conditions at a given time for the fundamental economic system ofsocialism and demanded that all socialist countries follow suit. The author points outthat reform of the socialist economic system is another great change in the productiverelations in socialist countries after their reform of the private ownership of the meansof production. The main purpose of the reform is to eliminate the factors disadvan-tageous to the development of social production in the economic system established inthe Soviet Union in the 1930s.Instead,other countries must establish new systemsbetter suited to the productive relations in their countries so that the superiority ofsocialism can be fully developed. The author also offers useful opinions on theongoing Chinese reform of the socialist system, especially the reforms in the urban areas.
