翻译批评的惟文学思维

Literary Obsession in Translation Criticism in China

国内的翻译批评一直存在一种惟文学思维,在翻译批评定义、翻译批评例证和翻译批评论著三方面都有表现,其成因可追溯到翻译研究领域的惟文学思维、文学翻译批评自身的便利和翻译学者的学术背景,其对翻译理论研究、翻译实践和翻译批评自身都会产生不利的影响。为了摆脱这种思维,翻译学者需要强化跨学科意识,抑制不必要的理论冲动,并随时留意身边的翻译现象。

Translation criticism in China has long been plagued by a literary obsession,which finds evidence not only in the definition of and examples illustrating translation criticism,but also in the sheer number of journal articles and monographs published on this topic.The obsession can be ascribed to three factors:the literary obsession in translation studies,the advantages of literary translation criticism and the academic backgrounds of translation critics.To rid translation criticism of this obsession,translation scholars are expected to be more interdisciplinary minded and refrain from their eagerness to develop new theories hastily.More attention should also be paid to translations easily accessible to them.
