摘要
在清末教育改革之初,受刘坤一、张之洞委托,以缪荃孙、张謇、罗振玉为代表的东南士绅与江鄂负责学务的官员就如何兴办近代学校教育展开深入讨论,在江宁先后三次集议,对办学宗旨、学制、课程、教材和兴学次第等进行了深入研讨,并积极推进建设以江宁为中心的示范性学校系统,这既标志着江苏地域近代学校教育的全面启动,其间的兴学共识与争鸣又对清末学制的形成产生了重要影响。
When the education reform in the late Qing Dynasty started,as entrusted by Liu Kunyi and Zhang Zhidong,the gentry in South-east China represented by Miao Quansun,Zhang Jian and Luo Zhengyu and the official in charge of education in Jiangsu and Hubei provinces,launched a profound discussion on how to develop modern school education in China.Three conventions had been held in Jiangning government,in which the schooling purpose,the schooling system,the curriculum,the teaching materials and the schooling order had been discussed deeply,and the construction of model schooling system centering in Jiangning had been promoted.What had been done in Jiangning symbolized the overall start of modern school education in Jiangsu area,during which the consensus and argument of the establishment of school education also had great influence on the schooling system of the late Qing Dynasty.
