“Good-for-nothings” and the Logic Thinking of Romanticism

'无用人'是德国浪漫主义作家艾兴多夫笔下的浪漫主义形象。'无用人'概念化的人物设定、简洁单一的故事结构和象征化的意义指向,使它成为体现浪漫主义思维逻辑的纲领式作品。文章通过对'无用人'的形象内涵及其'漫游'行为模式的探讨,梳理浪漫主义理想建构具体路径的情感特征及其最终达成的虚无特性,揭示出浪漫主义思维逻辑中自我解放与自我删除的悖论,从而更加深刻地彰显浪漫主义文学的本质。

A'good-for-nothing'is a romantic character created by German Romantic writer Eichendorff.The integration of the conceptualized setting of the characters,the simple and unitary story structure together with the symbolic significance makes it a guiding work of the romantic logic thinking.Through the analysis of the image of'good-for-nothings'and their roam-about,this paper attempts to clarify these romantic characters’emotional characteristics and their ultimate realization of nothingness,and then summarize the paradox of self-emancipation and self-deletion in its logic thinking,thus achieving a better understanding of the essence of Romantic literature.
