This paper introduces the formation process of academic thoughts of Professor Xu Fusong,a famous andrologist,and summarizes his academic thoughts and clinical experience.The details are as follows:①To trace the classics,structure the system and standardize the names and treatment of diseases in andrology.②To establish the outline,advocate new theory,promote and sublimate innovative theory of andrology.③To improve the thinking of andrology on diagnosis and treatment by valuing the whole and identifying the correlation.④To emphasize the kidney as the pivot in andrology by identifying pathogenesis and differentiating the internal from the external.⑤To accept new knowledge,focus on scientific research,and develop andrology in traditional Chinese medicine by integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
