活动空间视角下广州市穆斯林女性的社会融入

Social integration of Muslim women in Guangzhou from the perspective of activity spaces

随着城市化进程加速,越来越多穆斯林女性进入沿海大城市,既有研究对其在城市的社会融入及影响因素进行了探索,但鲜有从日常活动空间视角进行切入。本文基于对广州穆斯林女性的问卷调查和深度访谈,分析其社会融入维度和特征演变,并结合日常活动空间的拓展,进行进一步解释。研究发现:穆斯林女性的社会融入可归纳为四个维度,经济与社会交往融入和心理融入程度较高,生活融入程度尚可,文化接纳程度相对较低;穆斯林女性在广州的活动空间经历了由初始锚点向周边扩展和向主要城市空间转移、并最终与城市居民趋同的过程;活动空间范围和主要活动点周边的建成环境对社会融入有显著影响,活动范围越大、家和工作地周边设施越丰富,融入程度越高。

As urbanization speeds up in China, more and more Muslim women have been moving into coastal megacities. Existing studies have investigated Muslim women’s social integration in cities and related impact factors, but seldom from the perspective of activity spaces. Based on questionnaire survey and in-depth interview carried out in Guangzhou in 2017, the current study analyzed the characteristics and evolution of Muslim women’s social integration in the city, as well as the effects of activity space expansion on social integration. The results of factor analysis show that Muslim women’s social integration is mainly manifested in four aspects: they scored higher in economic and social integration, as well as in psychological adaptation, not too bad in daily life adaptation, but relatively lower in cultural integration. Along with their residence in Guangzhou, Muslim women’s activity spaces extend from certain original anchors, such as home and work places, to the main urban activity spaces, such as the main commercial and recreational centers of the city, and finally show little difference from the local resident’ activity spaces. Regression results show that wider activity spaces, as well as more abundant and more various facilities around main activity places, will significantly improve Muslim women’s social integration in the city.
