This paper points out the deficiencies in the planning and design of rural houses through analyzing their current design situation. It analyzes the application advantages of lightw eight steel construction system in rural houses and demonstrates the necessity of applying lightw eight steel construction system in rural houses. At last,this paper summarizes the key energy conservation design points of rural houses in lightw eight steel construction and puts forw ard the specific construction methods and technical measures of the building envelops of rural houses of lightw eight steel construction in the expectation of providing reference for the quality improvement of rural houses.
