Cleared the working emphasis of soil and water conservation monitoring of hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering by analyzing the soil erosion characteristics in southern Xinjiang. And discussed further the related problems of soil erosion characteristics and soil and water conservation monitoring. The study result can provide reference for soil erosion in the hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering construction process in the study area.
