Xu Rongdong's Experiences in Treatment of Cervicogenic Hypertension

胥荣东主任在临床中发现一部分患者的血压增高是由颈椎病造成的,他依据传统的"经筋"理论,指出颈源性高血压属于中医的筋骨病,并结合自己的治疗经验提出了诊断依据。其治疗方法是通过针刺颅底、颈、肩、腰、臀部的筋结反应点,并结合理筋手法调整脊柱,预后调摄运用大成拳站桩等治疗颈源性高血压,使很多患者症状改善,血压降低,减少长期服药的负担,提高了生活质量。这也充分体现了胥荣东主任"骨正筋柔百病消"的思想和权重易损(功能越多越容易受伤),脊柱为轴,上下左右整体调整的治疗原则以及背后五条线(指督脉一条,夹脊左右各一条和足太阳膀胱经第一侧线左右各一条)、颅底反应区、知其针者信其左、站桩调神等治疗思路。

Prof. Xu Rongdong discovered that a part of cases of hypertension were induced by cervical spondylosis. Based on the theory of'muscle region of meridian'in TCM,Prof. Xu pointed out that cervicogenic hypertension belongs to the category of tendon and bone disorder in TCM and he proposed the diagnostic evidence in association with his own clinical experiences. In the treatment,acupuncture was applied to the reflection sites of tendons at skull base,neck,shoulder,lumbar and hip regions and the manipulation for regulating tendon and spine was combined. Additionally,the standing exercise was applied for prognosis. In many patients,the symptoms were relieved,blood pressure was reduced,the dose of long- term medication was decreased and the quality of life was improved. Prof. Xu thought that every disorder could be removed when bone and tendon were regulated and he also believed that the injuries resulted from more functional activities.In the treatment,the body was regulated holistically by taking the spine as the axle,focusing on five lines on the back( the Governor Vessel,bilateral lines of Jiaji points distributed and the bilateral first line of the bladder meridian) and the reflection area of skull base. Acupuncture and standing exercise were applied coordinately in the treatment.
