亦谈王世贞与李时珍《本草纲目》

Wang Shizhen and Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica

明代李时珍所著《本草纲目》是我国古代医药史上卷帙最长内容最丰富的药学巨著,2011年成功入选《世界记忆名录》。而《本草纲目》的完善和出版与文坛领袖王世贞密不可分。王世贞十年写一序,乃因晚年身体欠安心情抑郁又忙碌的他认真阅读了190余万字的《本草纲目》,对《本草纲目》发出了由衷的赞叹并发现了其中之不足,李时珍接受了王世贞的意见严谨修订,又花十年时间使《本草纲目》更加完善,最终成为不朽之作。

Compendium of Materia Medica written by Li Shizhen in Ming Dynasty is the most abundant pharmaceutical work with the longest content in the history of ancient Chinese medicine volumes and has been collected in The list of memory in the world in 2011. The improvement and publication of Compendium of Materia Medica is inseparable from Wang Shizhen,the leader of the literary world. Wang shizhen spent 10 years in writing a preface and read the book with over 1. 9 million words very seriously even thought he was poor physically and mentally and was very busy in schedule. He was highly praised at the book and also discovered the inadequate. Li Shizhen accepted Wang Shizhen's opinions and made the revision carefully. It took Li Shizhen another 10 years to further perfect Compendium of Materia Medica. Hence,this book eventually becomes a masterpiece.
