Prof. Li Qiugui's Experiences in the Treatment of Diabetes with Herbal medicine

采用传统师承临床抄方和病例采集分析相结合的方法,分析李秋贵主任医师门诊治疗糖尿病所用中草药数据,总结和探讨其运用中药汤剂治疗糖尿病的学术见解、临证思路、用药特点和规律。研究发现,李老师在临床上处方用药以小方为主,药少力专;莪术使用频率最高;前25味频次最高中药中有14味具有明确降糖作用,有10味在古代文献中用于治疗消渴;"四气"统计寒性中药使用最多,"五味"统计苦味与甘味药较多,"归经"统计以肺经药居首。同时李老师根据多年的临床经验,认为中医药治疗糖尿病宜突出辨证论治,注重功效药理结合;提倡采用中西医结合治疗的方法,发挥各自的优势,指导临床治疗用药。

Through the traditional clinical formula copying and case collection,it was to analyze the Chinese herbal data in the treatment of diabetes by Prof. Li Qiu- gui. The academic opinions on the treatment of diabetes with Chinese herbal decoction,the thinking of clinical practice and the characteristics and rule of herbal usage were explored. In clinical practice,Prof. Li prefers to the formula with fewer ingredients but possessing the specific actions. Curcuma zedoary is used in the highest frequency. Of the first 25 herbs of the high using frequency,14 herbs had the definite action on reducing glucose level and 10 herbs had been recorded for the treatment of xiaoke in ancient literatures. Regarding'four properties',the herbs of cold property had been used in the highest frequency; regarding'five flavors',the herbs of bitter and sweet flavors had been used in the highest frequency; regarding'channel tropism',lung channel is the first one involved. Additionally,based on the clinical experiences for years,Prof. Li believed that pattern / syndrome differentiation of diabetes should be emphasized,the action and pharmacology be combined. Prof. Li proposes the integration of Chinese medicine and western medicine and promotes its individual advantages to guide the clinical application of herbal medicines.
