叔碳酸作为系列精细化工原料主要应用在涂料、医药和农药、聚合物引发剂、香料及润滑油 ,它最大的市场在高档涂料领域。叔碳酸乙烯酯在性能上超过常用的聚醋酸乙烯、醋丙、醋乙等聚合物 ,叔碳酸乙烯酯 醋酸乙烯共聚乳胶漆可以与丙烯酸乳胶漆一争高低。三甲基乙酸作为叔碳酸的一个产品在医药和农药中都有普遍的应用 ,但目前国内所需全部依靠进口。虽然经过了“八五”、“九五”近10年的攻关 ,叔碳酸的合成技术在国内仍不是很成熟 ,只有西南化工研究设计院建成了一套 2 0 0t/a的C10 叔碳酸装置。随着叔碳酸系列产品的应用不断开发 ,国内的需求继续扩大 ,预计到 2 0 0 5年国内需求量在 2 6 0 0t/a 。

Tert-carbonic acid is mainly applied in coatings, pharmaceuticals and pesticides, polymer initiators, flavors and lubricants as series fine chemical materials, which most important market is coating field. Vinyl tert-carbonate has more advantageous charaters than polyvinyl-acetate, vinyl-acetate-acrylate copolymerization emulsion, and vinyl tert-carbonate and vinyl-acetate copoly emulsion paint can compare with crylic acid emulsion paint. Trimethyl-acetic acid is largely applied in pharmaceuticals and pesticides as one of the tert-carbonic acid series products, but most of the demanding at home are relying on importing. The synthesis technology is still not maturity though it is researched for about 10 years at the eighth and ninth five years plan, and only the Southwest Research and Design Institute of Chemical Industry has instructed a C 10 carbonic acid facility with capacity of 200t/a. The domestic demand for tert-carbonic acid will increase with the application is developed, and the demand is foreseen to reached 2600t/a in 2005 which has large development space.
