Rotating packed bed(RPB), an effective multiphase equipment, can greatly intensify multiphase mass transfer processes. It can be applied in many fields such as chemical engineering, material, metallurgy, energy resource and environmental protection, etc. This paper briefly introduces the advance of theoretical research about hydrodynamics characteristics and mass transfer of RBP in recent years.
