Progressing China and International Cooperation in the Human Rights Field: An Overview of the International Conference on the International Cooperation in Human Rights and the Chinese Perspective

中国社会科学院国际法研究所在北京举办的"人权领域的国际合作与中国视角"国际研讨会强调中国特色社会主义人权观和中国的人权自信。会议全面研讨人权领域国际合作的热点和前沿问题,并特别强调中国视角、中国话语和中国实践,回顾、总结和展望中国人权发展道路,就中国在国际人权法和相关国际合作中的立场、特点和经验进行深入探讨,反映了中国人权事业特别是人权领域国际交流与合作的新进展与新趋势。研讨会为坚定中国道路自信、理论自信、制度自信、文化自信以及人权自信作出努力,同时致力于搭建起人权领域的国际交流合作平台。

The International Conference on the International Cooperation in Human Rights and the Chinese Perspective organized by the Institute of International Law,Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,took place in Beijing,China from 22 to 23 October,2016. The socialist outlook on human rights with Chinese characteristics and the Chinese self-confidence in human rights development were emphasized on the Conference. It not only reviewed and summarized the human rights development in China,but also anticipated the future of China's human rights cause. With broad discussion on international cooperation in human rights law from Chinese perspective,in Chinese terms and focusing upon Chinese experiences,the Conference reflected the new development and new trend in the international human rights law and the China's new role now and in future. The Conference made a significant effort to strengthen the selfconfidences in terms of the Chinese path,theories,system,culture as well as human rights development,and tried to promote the establishment of a communication platform for international cooperation in human rights.
