In this paper is made a review on recent advances in the oxidative d ehydrogenation of ethane into ethylene centering on the catalysts added when usi ng O 2 as an oxidant, including the behaviors of different catalysts in the rea ction, the reaction conditions, the kinetics and the reaction mechanism. Reactio ns using other oxidants such as N 2O and CO 2 are also introduced.
