试析云冈石窟第3窟原来的设计

Analysis on the Original Design of Cave 3 in Yungang Grottoes

云冈石窟第3窟是整个窟群中最大的未完成窟,其现状仅反映其开凿过程的一阶段,并非原来的设计。本文根据与3窟类似的其他已完成双窟空间形态的分析,推测该窟原来没有设计前室,窟外两侧立双塔,中部立阁,窟内东西并列双室,各设中心塔柱。

Cave 3 is the largest unfinished cave in Yungang Grottoes,whose present status reflects only one phase of its excavating procession,instead of the original design.Based on ana lysis of spatial form of the similar caves with double-caves which had been completed,this article speculates that there was supposed to be no front rooms in Cave 3 originally.It was designed into central attic with twin towers standing on both sides outside the cave,and double rooms with central column inside the cave.
