摘要
犍陀罗二龙系珠图像传来中国后,较多地用作南北朝隋代菩萨像项链装饰。出现于北朝后期的二龙拱珠图像,在唐代普遍地用于装饰碑碣并稀疏地延续下来。创始于唐代的二龙戏珠和一龙戏珠图像延绵至今,广泛地用作铜镜、碑碣、建筑等装饰,成为深受民间喜爱的图像。这些传统装饰图像,曾经在中国古代社会生活中扮演过重要角色。
The pattern of two dragons linking with a pearl originates in Gandhara has been much used in Bodhisattva necklace ornaments in Northern and Southern Dynasties and Sui Dynasty after its transmission into China.Then,the pattern of two dragons flanking a pearl which emerges from late Northern Dynasties becomes widely employed in upper stone tablet design in Tang Dynasty,yet had rarely been continued afterwards.Later on,the pattern of two dragons playing a pearl and the pattern of one dragon playing with a pearl come into existence in Tang Dynasty and retain popularity until today.The two patterns are extensively used as decorations on bronze mirror,upper stone tablet and in architecture.The traditional ornamental patterns as mentioned above have indeed played important roles in social life in ancient China.
