萧红是一位女性意识很强的作家,她从女性平淡的日常生活着眼,描写了女性的生存状态和生命过程,写出了北方农村苦难女性的血泪生活,唱出了女性挣扎在生存与毁灭之间的悲歌,揭示了男性对女性的冷漠和迫害.萧红虽然揭示了两性之间的对立,但是她的真正意图并不是要男女互相仇视,而是为了唤起社会对于女性人格尊严的重视,为了建立一个和谐的两性关系所构成的世界.

Xiao Hong is an authoress with strong sympathy for the female.She records in her novel the life status and life progress of the female in their daily life from women in the countryside of the Northern China who lived the miserable life.Her novel is the tragic tales of women who struggled to live between aliveness and deadness,and reveals the abuse,maltreatment and coldness of men to women.Nevertheless,she is trying to call for not mutual hostility between men and women but social respect for women,and to build a harmonious society constituted by men and women.
