The first lesson of Higher Vocational English is the transition point for college freshmen from high school English learning to college English learning,and it is the beginning of College English teaching.Having an effective first English lesson can lay agood foundation for the smooth development of teaching in the future.This article discusses how to start the first English class from the following aspects:setting up the new image of teachers,introducing themselves,introducing courses,helping students change their minds,and learning English methods.
