From the angle of statistics, the paper studied the concept of the information industry and the statistical scope, principle, method and the indices system. Thus, we can reflect scientifically and accurately the development and variation of the information industry. At the same time, in order to reflect better the scale of information of certain nation or certain region, we put forward a new series of scientific and precise evaluation approaches.
