TiO_2 photocatalytic oxidation is one of the advanced methods with high efficiency for the treatment of organic contaminants in wastewater. The recent development and the application of photocatalytic oxidation by using nano TiO2 in pulp and paper industry are overviewed. The mechanism of photocatalytic oxidation and the influence factors are discussed. Finally, some existing problems and the prospect of photocatalytic oxidation technologies are commented.
