Capacity Limits of Future Communication Systems

本文应用信息论中的香农定理,结合经济、技术上的可行性,预计了光纤通信、蜂窝无线通信、卫星通信的容量极限,光纤通信的容量可达到1GB/S,移动通信(蜂窝系统、卫星系统)的容量可达每秒几十兆比特。

Using Shannon's theorem and on the economical and technical feasibilities,this paper estimates the capacity limits of fiber optical,cellular radio and satellite communication systems.For fiber optical network,1Gb/s equivalent circuit-switched capacity will be feasible in the future.In a cellar or satellite radio network for mobile subscriber it may be feasible to reach several tens of megabits per second.
