腐败——太平天国夭折的重要原因

Corruption——the Main Cause of the Premature End of Taiping Tianguo

从历史唯物论的视角看来,农民阶级的历史局限性仅仅规定了太平天国农民战争的性质和结果,而太平天国领导核心的主观失误应是其夭折的主要原因。太平天国的腐败就属此类问题。太平天国何以出现腐败问题并迅速泛滥?笔者认为,首先是太平天国制度的缺陷:圣库制度、升贬制度的严重破坏以及封建礼俗制度的存在与发展;其次是太平天国中央政权的过早专制化和地方政权的无序化导致了绝对权力的过早产生,自然而然地带来腐败并加剧其蔓延。

From the point of view of historic materialism,the character and result of the peasant war of Taiping Tianguo had much to do with the limitation of the peasantry and the objective mistakes from its leaders were the main causes of its premature end.The corruption of Taiping Tianguo was just the case.Why did such corruption come about?Why did it spread so quickly?The writers here hold the view as follows.Firstly,it's because of the defect of the systems of Taiping Tian-guo---the severe destruction of its state treasury and the system of ups and downs as well as the existence and development of the feudal customs.Secondly,the early autocracy of the regime and the disorder of the local governments led to the early appearance of absolute power,which was sure to cause corruption and quicken its extension.
