Humanity Lost and Regained in Zhou Puyuan

周朴园对侍萍的情感 ,历来被无数论家指认为虚伪、自私。本文重新审视文本后认为 ,周朴园对侍萍的心态是矛盾而复杂的 :伤害与悔恨交接 ,恐惧与思念相杂 ,冷漠与真诚同在 ,经历了伤害→怀念→忏悔的嬗变 ,显化出周朴园人性的沦丧与回归 ,揭示了周朴园作为“人”的复杂性。

Zhou Puyuan's feelings toward Lu Shiping has often been regarded as hypocritical and selfish. But, in this dissertation, after a careful review of the text, the author believes that Zhou Puyuan's attitudes toward Lu Shiping are conflicting and complex. They are the combination of hurt and repent, the mixture of fear and missing, the co-existence of indifference and sincerity. It underwent a process of change from hurt to missing, from missing to repent, which suggests that humanity is lost and regained in Zhou Puyuan, and reveals the complexity of Zhou Puyuan's feelings and attitudes as a human being.
