语用迁移与语用失误——中国英语学习者回答附加疑问句的语用失误调查

Pragmatic transfer and pragmatic failure An investigation of pragmatic failures in the responses to English tag questions among Chinese EFL learners

英语附加疑问句是英美国家人士日常生活会话中使用较为频繁的语言结构,而中国英语学习者却很少使用,即使使用,也时常出现言不达意的失误.本文通过问卷和访谈,对134名英语学习者回答附加疑问句的语用失误进行了调查,结果表明中国英语学习者无论其英语水平高低,都有不同程度的失误.最后,文章对造成该语用失误的原因进行了分析和讨论.

Tag questions are frequently employed by native speakers of English in their daily conversations but seldom used by Chinese EFL learners. This paper investigates Chinese ESL learners' response to English tag questions. 134 participants were involved in the present research, and data collected from the questionnaire and the interviews indicated that Chinese EFL learners committed more failures in oral form than in written form. Possible causes are analyzed and discussed.
