Practical Academic Trend and Short Story Creation in Last Years of Korea's Li Dynasty

朝鲜李朝后期,在实学学风的影响下,出现了大量短篇小说,这些小说或由实学学者创作,或蕴含实学思想。与以往以英雄传奇、历史事件、家庭伦理为主题的小说创作不同,这一时期的小说以实学的求实与批判精神关注现实问题,关注底层人物命运,并试图寻求针对社会弊病的救世良策。

Influenced by the practical academic trend in last years of Korea's Li Dynasty,large numbers of short stories came out.The short stories either were created by practical academic scholars or contained practical academic thoughts.Different from the previous novels based on the theme of hero-legends,historical events,and family ethics,the short stories during this period were concerned with the realistic problems,the fate of people at the bottom rung of the social ladder,and tried to seek ways of world salvation with the realistic and critical spirit.
