Socialist Market Economy and the Overall Development of Human beings

人的全面发展是马克思主义哲学关于人的学说的重要组成部分。人的全面发展包括"类的全面发展"和"个体的全面发展"。社会主义市场经济为人的全面发展提供了现实条件:观念的不断更新为人的全面发展奠定了良好的思想基础;生产力的不断发展为人的全面发展创造了必要的物质条件;社会主义制度的日趋完善为人的全面发展提供了有效的制度保障。我们要抓住机遇,大力加强物质文明、政治文明和精神文明建设,努力促进人的全面发展。

As an important part of the Marxist philosophy about human beings, the overall development of human beings includes two aspects: the overall development of man as a whole and the overall development of an individual. Socialist market economy offers practical conditions to the overall development of human beings; the constant renewal of human’s perception sets solid basis of thoughts for the overall development; the improvement of productivity creates necessary material conditions for the overall development of human beings; while the more and more perfect socialist system provides strong security to the overall development of human beings. We should make good use of this opportunity to promote the overall development by strengthen the building of political, material, and spiritual civilizations.
