Reasons for the Sui Dynasty to Successfully Unify Its Country

公元589年,隋灭陈完成了多民族国家的统一。究其原因在于:人民饱受战乱之苦,渴望统一;北朝长时期在政治、经济、军事上强于南朝,至隋时达到顶点。故而能使隋在短短两个月的时间内灭陈完成统一,为唐的强盛奠定了坚实的基础。

In 589 BC,the Sui Dynasty successfully unified the whole country with conquering the State of Chen.The basic reasons are as following:First of all,the people at that time had bitterly suffered from continuous wars and had been keen on unification;On the other hand,for a long period of time,the Northern Dynasties had been more powerful than the Southern Dynasties in terms of politics,economy and military power,and the situation reached the peak in the Sui dynasty. Therefore,the Sui Dynasty could accomplish its great unification of the whole country and established a solid foundation for the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
