Zhuang Brocade:a Traditional Manual Technique and Its Recent Changes

壮锦,是壮族人民世代相传极具广泛性和普遍性的民间手工艺品。人们日常生活中的地位变化,导致人们对壮锦这个传统工艺的价值观的变化。在壮锦工艺的变迁过程中,地域、工艺技术、织锦材料、色彩主题、品种、功能、价值等元素的变迁是相互作用影响,并不是单一形式的独立变迁。传统的壮锦手工技艺对民间民俗有着依存意义。

Zhuang brocade is a very broad and universal folk arts and crafts which spread by the Zhuang people from generation to generation.Changes in people’s daily lives resulted in their value change to this traditional craft.During the Zhuang brocade changing process,changes of geography,technology,brocade material,color themes,variety, functionality,value and other elements of the transition affected interactively.Traditional manual Zhuang brocade skills have dependency significance to the civil society folklore.
